Reminders

Just a few reminders:

Next week is Spring Break! No School! We all need this much deserved break! However, we can't loose sight of the CRCT! I highly encourage all students to continue reading everyday, get on Study Island and OAS to practice for the CRCT, practice math facts on mathfactcafe.com or xtramath.org and take a trip to the local library!

This week we are wrapping up our science unit on simple machines. Students are having a test tomorrow over the material covered. We are working on a fun project with Mrs. Williamson that we will continue after the break.

We have been working hard on understanding the difference between adverbs and adjectives this week. If you get a chance ask your student to explain it to you to make sure they are grasping the concept!

Our math unit on data will continue after the break and then we will be doing our final unit on algebra!

Students will be starting a new unit on folk tales, tall tales and fables after the break and we will also be finishing our last two grammar units!

Only seven weeks of school left! Have a great break!!!

Math Bash

Our last Math Bash is coming up on April 1st! This will be the students last chance to attend! Please make sure you are reviewing multiplication facts every night with your student!! Thanks!

Simple Machines

We will be starting a new science unit this week on simple machines! If you have any good examples please send them in so we can look at how we use simple machines everyday, and sometimes don't even know it!

In math we will be starting our data unit. If your student sees an example of a graph encourage them to bring it in and share!

Scholastic Book Order

I had several students say they forgot their orders, so I am extending the deadline to Monday. I updated online ordering too, so if you would like to place an order you have until Monday! Thanks!
